Laboratory application of sampling approaches to inverse scattering

This study presents an experimental investigation of the recently established generalized linear sampling method (GLSM) for non-destructive evaluation damage in elastic materials. To this end, ultrasonic shear waves are generated a prismatic slab charcoal granite featuring discontinuity interface induced by three-point bending (3PB). The interaction probing with 3PB-induced gives rise to transient velocity responses measured on sample's boundary 3D scanning laser Doppler vibrometer.
